I have verified our Google Places a few months ago. We have 10 locations. All are great except one. This one is in a big building in Milwaukee. Google Places is calling our business the name of this big building (not sure if I can use actual business names, so I won't). When a user searches for "the building that our shop is in, Milwaukee", the first place page that comes up is us. I don't mind that - except the title is wrong. The title is "the name of the big building center office" - and our information is displayed. We are recieving 40-50 calls from people actually trying to call this other business. We just have a tiny small room in the huge building (largest building in Wisconsin).
Another way to put it - lets call this big building "corp" and our company (which has a small shop inside this big building) "print shop". When a user searchs for "corp, milwaukee", our places page shows up first. The title of our page shows up as "corp - center office". Because of this, we are getting many phone calls daily with people looking for the "corp", and not our print shop.
I have verified this place in google places. All of the other information is correct. Only the title is wrong. I made minor changes to the title several times - hoping it would trigger a change, but nothing happens. I have contacted google using the "Report a problem link" - where I just get an email back saying this listing is verified so I can't do anything to change the title. I have also contacted google using the Google Places Help - which is the form that I am logged in to use, and proves that I am the verified owner of the page.
This has been giving me a headache for weeks (not to mention the poor guy running the print shop inside this building, with the phone ringing all day). Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
