Hello everyone. I am thinking about making a big change with my website(s). I currently have 3 main websites. One is a corporate webpage for my company that I am currently redoing (the current one looks like crap), it ranks 3rd for my company name which drives me insane. I, obviously, want it to be first. It is a big deal for me because I do quite a bit of traditional marketing and when someone searches my company name I want them to see me first.

The other 2 sites are for the 2 locations that my business serves. Both of these sites rank first for all of my industry specific geo-targeted searches and the traffic I receive from those searches accounts for about 80% of my business volume.

As I am reworking my corporate site I am posed with this question. Do I consolidate all of these into one site via subdomains? So instead of;

I would consolidate it to;

Currently all 3 of these sites are on exact match (or close to it) domains. I don't want to lose the 'rank juice' (not sure what the technical term is) for that and slip in rankings for my location sites.

On the flip side, I want everything to be together so that I can (hopefully) get my corporate site to rank number one for my company name and simply as a function of having a cohesive, singular website. The last bit being more and more important as I open more locations and continue to do traditional marketing methods which will cause people to search for my company name more.

I would hope that if I 301 redirect the exact match domains to the subdomains that I don't lose my ranking locally and that my corporate site climbs to number one, but I have learned that the 'search engine gods' are a finicky group and I really don't want to screw up what I have going for me right now.

This whole thing makes my head hurt. Any thoughts/input welcomed and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dan
