New ads under review for about a week now, what's wrong?

I created 2 new text ads on Google AdWords about a week ago and they are still "Under review", I contacted them yesterday from the Help link at the top right and still no reply to that either. Is it normal for ad approval to take so long? How long does it normally take them to reply?

I am using a "$100 code" (whatever they're called) that someone gave me years ago and I hadn't used it yet, is this against the rules in any way and could that be why my account is being ignored? I didn't intend on breaking the rules by using a "$100 code" someone gave me. I also have 2 google accounts and had gotten a $100 trial from Google themselves for that account, is it against their rules to have more than one account? This probably happened when they bought YouTube which ended up creating multiple Google accounts.
